Annabel grew up in South Devon in a country village on the edge of Dartmoor. From a young age her love of horses, animals and all things outdoor meant she grew a passionate love of nature and an appreciation of the rewards brought about by hard work. 

Both her parents and grandfather were accomplished gardeners and growing up Annabel was inspired by the beauty of the gardens she was surrounded by.

Annabel has a BSc Hons in Biology from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, studied Horticulture at The Royal Horticultural Society and continued her studies in Garden Design at Sparsholt College.

 

Prior to starting up Winchester Fine Gardens, Annabel managed The Landscape Gardener (sister company and services arm of the renowned Chelsea Gardener) in London.

 

As Manager of The Landscape Gardener since it's inauguration, Annabel provided garden design, landscaping, trellis, maintenance and lighting services to clients across Chelsea, Kensington,  Fulham, Notting Hill, Clapham and Battersea.

From her time in the industry, Annabel has worked alongside, and partnered with some of the country's leading industry professionals, including interior designers, landscapers, lighting experts and plantsman, all of whom have inspired and taught her along the way. 

​

After leaving London, Annabel established Winchester Fine Gardens, a professional and friendly garden design consultancy business based in the village of Sparsholt.
